Good morning. A British endurance athlete, William Goodge has become the fastest person to run across Australia, making it from Perth to Sydney in just 35 days.

The run hasn’t been without controversy. While Goodge openly drank beers and smoked cigarettes during the run, it was his heart rate data, rarely rising above 110 bpm, that divides the ultra-running community. Strava logs have also raised suspicions, with several irregularities noted.

If you fancy a rabbit hole today, the letsrun.com thread has 30 pages of comments and analysis from sceptics and supporters.
