Good morning. It's April Fool’s Day today which gives you a great opportunity to ignore any bad news until tomorrow. Here are three April Fool’s Day pranks from the archive:

  • The BBC’s The One Show aired a segment about the discovery of penguins that could fly, showing fake footage of penguins soaring through the air.

  • Burger King published an ad announcing the creation of a new "Left-Handed Whopper," specifically designed for left-handed people. The burger had all its ingredients rotated 180 degrees for "easier consumption for left-handed individuals".

  • Google announced the launch of "Google Nose," a search feature that allowed users to search for and "smell" things on the internet. The idea was that they could experience smells digitally by holding their phones up to their faces.

Stay cautious out there today.
