YouTube is serving blank ads or black screens before a video when users are found to be using an ad-blocker extension.

Noise Cancelling News

The recent change will now make users wait for their content, partially defeating the purpose of using an ad blocker.

With ads now directly inserted into the main YouTube video feed, ad blockers are having difficulty detecting any ads.
